I remember watching an episode of Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares and him getting really pissed off at a restaurant owner who’d had the same soup of the day for months. He tried to point out to her that since it was soup of the day, it should change, preferably daily. It took her a while, but eventually she saw the logic.
I just wanted to point out that I get entitling these photo posts ‘photo of the day’ would give the impression that they would be a daily recurrence but they’re not. Maybe one day they’ll become daily, but for now, working full time, I don’t get as much time as I’d like to take photos and as such, I don’t have enough to do this daily. Yet the name for these posts will stay unchanged. Kind of a not so passive aggressive,more so an in your face challenge for me to better balance my time and take more photos.
The photo of the day is quite self explanatory really. I broke the glass back on my trusty iPhone 4.
This pisses me off for a variety of reasons.
- One, I’ve dropped this phone many a time from many heights and even thrown it a time or too when particularly frustrated with the conversation, but it broke falling from less than knee height, whilst I crouched to grab a drink from the refrigerated section in the local shop. Like if you’re going to break, at least do it when I’ve hurled you from a height or a moving car or something equally dramatic!
- Two, I have no money to fix it and I refuse to enter into another two year contract and upgrade my phone. I remember when mobile phone contracts were 12 months and felt like an eternity, 24 months are just disgusting!
- It shattered in such a way that I cut my fingers when I use it but I’m a blogger so it’s like glued to my very existence. I’ve used a lot of plasters out of our first aid kit recently..
- Why do we really even need glass on the back of the phone. It’s the back for goodness sake! Make it out of stronger stuff. I never had to go through this crap with my trusty Nokias back in the day!
