I don’t take part in many blog linkys these days but Living Arrows is definitely one I’d like to participate in more this year. It’s about celebrating childhood and sharing a moment from our week. I blog about my child, parenting and life in general so it seems a no brainer really! Plus, it’s a good reason to make sure I keep my camera closer to me too!

This week I’m sharing a few photos I caught of Princess just after washing her hair. Wash day is an epic task in our house, the unplaiting, pre-pooing washing, detangling with the Denman brush and then in this case, blow drying because it was too late in the day to let it air dry. Princess hates the hair dryer. Always has! After drying her hair, I let her go downstairs whilst I tidied up the hair bits and bobs. When I got down, she was in the kitchen helping herself to a Muller Rice.

I love that she’s at an age where not only can she share her wants with me, but from time to time, she can satisfy them herself! She can microwave stuff. Make herself toast. Brush her own hair when we’re washing it. Sort out her own clothes in the morning. She’s growing up. But not completely yet. As I type this, she’s come downstairs to let me know she can’t go to sleep until I’m upstairs too. It’s fab to still be needed, I have to admit. This post is going to be short and sweet I think. I hope you enjoy the everyday, quickly captured moments of childhood I’m sharing with you. It’s these moments we’ll look back on in years to come and will spring a font of related memories, sensations, smells even. Let’s hug our babies and keep them close.
From my family to yours, I hope you have a wonderful week!
