I had this great idea months and months ago to start a regular feature on things I enjoyed reading on different parts of the interwebs and to share it here on the blog called What They Wrote. Then, well, Life. Life happened and snatched me away from the feature and this blog in general, but here I am again! Like that pesky cold you just can’t shift, I’m back!

So what have people been writing about on the web recently that caught my attention and I felt I needed to share with you (just in case you missed it, because the internet is all kinds of massive, obviously!) So with no further ado find out what they wrote:

Pregnancy

There was this banger from Katie, Pouting with Heels which was so popular that it broke her blog. Epic right? The post “Can we please stop telling pregnant women everything will be fine?” really moved me, as it did to numerous others. If you didn’t catch it doing the rounds on social media, I recommend you pop over and read it today.

Start Ups

I do enjoy getting sent articles from friends and colleagues and this one, written by Shem was a corker. Entitled “Fuck you Startup World” was witty and quite on point. As someone who has worked in a few start-ups, many of the observations made in the article did make me chuckle. Whether you’re in a start up or not, it’s still a decent read.

Fashion

Written by Sarah Young for The Independent, I enjoyed this article on China’s hottest grandpa, who at the ripe ‘young’ age of 80,  set some serious ageing inspiration and fitness goals for me. I lived in China briefly after university and remember doing the walk (cab ride) of shame in the early hours of the morning, back to my accommodation and seeing scores of elderly Chinese men and women out exercising in groups, setting awesome examples to the youth. They even inspired me to buy some yoga dvds and practise in the comfort of my living room at much more sociable hours.
