dino supersaurusTrying to get Princess to sit down and read with me is getting harder. She loves reading but she’d much rather listen to me read. She’s creative and likes to make things more than read things! This is one of the reasons I was super happy to join in the Parragon Book Buddies club when I saw them at this year’s Britmums Live. Our first book arrived last week and proved to be an effective bargaining tool all the way until the weekend, when I finally let her open up the box set.

The Dino Supersaurus Boxset is a really interactive activity book with puzzles and lovely pictures to colour in. It also had really sturdy, colourful cardboard dinosaurs to put together. The instructions were really easy to follow and Princess had a lot of fun bossing me around, letting me know which part of the dinosaur went where. The numbers and pictures were really self explanatory and I think she’d probably have been able to complete it without me.

I think this is a great activity to help children feel creative and gain a sense of achievement as it doesn’t need too much parental supervision. The characters are very bright and I think the cartoon like qualities made them more appealing. We chose to only put together one dinosur and complete a couple of pages within the activity book, saving the others for nice rainy day activities in the coming weeks.
