Last week we headed down to the Dairy Gallery in London, literally a stone’s throw from my day job. Playstation was in town showing off the best of their upcoming games and also their new, beautiful glacier white PlayStation 4 console. The King fell in love with the all white PlayStation 4 the moment we stepped into the gallery. I liked it too, to be fair, but for very different reasons, I want a new white gloss TV console and I was thinking how nicely the two would compliment each other. PlayStation should think of doing a red gloss one too… just a thought.
I’m going to buy The King the PlayStation 4 in glacier white for his birthday, which is in September, also the same month that the console is released, which means I’ll probably be wise to pre-order. At £349 SRP, it’s not a bad price for a birthday gift which will also double up as an entertainment system for both myself and Mini Me. You can watch Netflix, Amazon Instant Player and other goodies through the console, so whilst I’m crap at playing games on it, I’ll soon be an expert at watching films through it!
I really enjoyed the new Little Big Planet 3 game, I think Princess will be in her element, both creating levels and playing through them with Toggle, Oddsock and Swoop, the new characters who have joined the original Sockboy. It’s a multi player game, so we could play as a family or she could even play with family friends without being in the same house, which can be ideal if both sets of parents need 20 mins free to finish off dinner or hide in the loos to regain our sense of sanity. Don’t judge, we’ve all been there at some point of time. I’m going to add this to our Christmas present list because I like the series and also because I think it’s nice for Princess to have a few of her own games for the console. She loved the Walking with Dinosaurs game she was given last year and has a very natural gift at mastering anything electronic, which I’m keen to nurture.
I’ll share more highlights from Playstation closer to Christmas, I’m sure but for now, I’m just very excited about the new PlayStation 4 in glacier white. Oh and the camo dual shock controller to go with it too, though that’ll have to hide in the draw when not in use because there’s no way I’m going to find a way to make it blend with the room, camouflage or not!
