Christmas Eve is a BIG DEAL in our household. Actually so is Christmas Eve Eve. I know, I went there and said Christmas Eve Eve, but really, it’s a thing. I checked in with friends and they also elongate the Christmas excitement by adding traditions onto the day before Christmas Eve too. Ours is a drive into London for supplies for Christmas Day and to drop off gifts to family.
On Christmas Eve, the Christmas gifts come out and end up under the tree or in individual Christmas sacks on the dining table. This is because the kids can’t be trusted to not peek into the gifts. Oh, and more recently because we have a puppy who can’t be trusted to resist the temptation to pee on the gifts!
I was thrilled when Harrow and Green got in contact with us to see if the girls would like their very own personalised sacks. Rainbow didn’t have a special one of her own. Princess has one from her Godmother that she picked up from Woolworths (remember them!?) for ‘baby’s first Christmas’. It’s from over a decade ago but I still pull out for posterity. So, needless to say, this was great timing for a replacement.
I chose the Bryanston personalised Santa Sack for both of the girls. I thought they looked Christmassy without being kitsch. Pretty modern in design, I chose to have no trim rather than the gingham, ticking or tartan options. I felt that this design would stay timeless and the girls will be able to grow up with the same sacks year after year. I love gifts that end up being traditions in themselves!

My original plan was to use the Santa Sacks for Christmas Eve gifts but as they’re so large, they’re perfect for holding the gifts for Christmas Day. We don’t go overboard with gifts. I want the girls to value quality over quantity but that doesn’t stop them from getting loads of gifts from their aunties, uncles and grandparents! Even with those gifts, I think there should still be enough space for everything to fit into the Christmas sacks. They’re as tall as Rainbow!
The Bryantstone Santa Sack from Harrow and Greene is available online for £22, which is the price for mot of them. There are also designs priced at £27 and personalised stockings to choose from too!

The Christmas Sack is a good quality material and I think it’ll last a long while. We had ours personalised with the girls’ full names, hence why I haven’t shown you the whole sack! I’m all about preserving their right to keeping their names of the net until they’re old enough to decide one way or another. But I think you can get the gist of what they look like. They arrived wrapped in ribbon and with gift tags included, which would make it easy to give as a gift.
