So earlier on in 2017 I shared some of my favourite photos from the year to that point. I’d been lucky enough to shoot some of my favourite entrepreneurial female friends and that was definitely a highlight for me. It’s was pretty humbling to be asked to shoot these amazing women and I felt really proud of the result of these shoots.

In April, Baby Bob entered our lives and photography took a back seat. I managed to get a few shoots in, one with the beautiful Emma and her family. Emma runs an awesome blog called Free From Farmhouse about family life with life threatening food allergies. It was an honour to share a couple of hours with her and it still gives me goosebumps when I see any of my images on her social media!

The latter part of the year was of course, dominated by photos of the kids. Like, what is a better and easier accessible muse than your own kids? Particularly babies, they can’t move too fast and they’re not able to roll their eyes yet and tell you to stop shooting them yet! Princess on the other hand is nearly at that point so we’re going to have to get more creative with our shoots to keep her on board!
I’ve spent more time with my wider family this year. I still need to take those opportunities to shoot more. I’d love more photos of them all to look back on. There’s a lovely shot of my girls with their grandad, my dad that quickly became one of my favourite photos from 2017, purely because it was such an off the cuff capture, that to me, says so much.

I’ve been talking a lot to a photographer whose work I really covet and respect. Troy, who I originally connected with because he blogged about parenting, has really developed leaps and bounds these last couple of years. Being able to talk to him about everything from the perfect sunset to which lens we want to buy has been awesome and makes me want to shoot more this year.
He’s one to watch this year! I’ve got some great collaboration ideas that hopefully will come into fruition in the first half of the New Year so watch this space!
I’ve got some projects in mind and just need to save up and be patient in order to see them into fruition. I’m super excited to share them with you through the year. /if you’d like to work with me on any photography / creative projects, let me know!

Your photography is really good! Keep it up! What camera do you use? x
Thank you Tracy! I use a Canon 650d and 700d for the majority of my shoots xx
