2014 Cornwall

OMG, I thought it had been a few days since I last blogged, who knew a couple of weeks had passed?! I’m alive and doing well. Just a bit caught up in the last, dimming moments of the summer holidays. I’ve been running around, buying school uniform, new shoes, squeezing in trips to museums and family, all in an attempt to fill Princess with as much warm and fuzzy memories as possible in her summer holiday. Last year was a bit of a wash out. Not much money and far too glum after being led down the yellow brick road in a job that turned out to be an unintentional, year long, unpaid internship, I was far from a fun, exciting mum and Princess suffered dearly for it. Well. Lesson well and truly learned! Life is far too short to waste time feeling less than OK, way too short to let other people be the cause of these feelings! That’s not to say that I’ve felt nothing but ecstatic for the past 12 months, I am human after all!!

This year, I’m loving work, loving life and have absolutely loved the time I’ve been able to spend with Princess, exploring new parts of the UK, visiting friends, getting my festival gear on, hugging, talking, exploring London, and well, being generally awesome. Princess starts school next week, a bit later than most schools seem to have gone back. I’m excited to get back to some sort of routine, though the early mornings will stink! It’s been amazing lying in until 7am and still making it into work on time. Fitting in the child minder run before school means we’re out of the house by that hour. Not the greatest arrangement in the world, but I’m hoping that when we move, the childcare arrangements and the shorter commute will mean an extra half hour in bed!

I haven’t been sitting on my hands on the blogging front, completely. This week, I decided to set up another blog, this time on Tumblr, because although I read blogs on the platform, I’ve never had one of my own and I thought it would be a cool excuse to branch out and give it a try. It’s nothing to do with parenting, so this blog is safe and will still serve a valuable purpose to me. My Tumblr blog is http://tinukesnaps.tumblr.com and showcases random photos that I take but doesn’t necessarily fit on circusmums.com. I’d love you to take a look and tell me what you think. It’s brand new and failry empty but there’s a lot of content to go up in the coming weeks!

Hopefully, next week, with the return of the school routine, will signal the return to regular blogging and for finding time to read other fabulous blogs. If you don’t hear from me soon, feel free to stalk me on social media and tell me to get in front of the screen!!
