Forget the twelve days of Christmas as I present to you 12 facts about Christmas instead.
After more or less ignoring Christmas on circusmums.com over the last few years, this year I’m getting with it and being a little more festive and less ‘bah humbug’, you may have even seen the recent post on blogger’s favourite gifts earlier on in the month.
This information graphic is courtesy of Up Up and Away. My favourite fact is number 6 which says that Santa gets 32 hours to deliver presents due to the different time zones he flies through. That’s a nice little gem to throw at the kids the next time they ask how it’s possible for Santa to go across the entire world in one night, isn’t it?
To be honest I wasn’t quite sure why the fact about Silver Lake’s snow fall made it onto the list, I get that snow is festive but the fact itself isn’t. Perhaps that’s just the bah humbug spirit returning though. Time for me to stop being such a Scrooge and warm up the mulled wine perhaps.
What is your favourite fact? Are you one of the millions of people who’ll be settling down to a Christmas lunch featuring a turkey or are you a rebel like me? We’re having a Turkish style mixed grill because. Well, just because.
Would you have any other facts to add?

That’s a lot of visits to A&E… who knew the humble Christmas tree could be so dangerous?! Wishing you a magical Christmas x
I know right!? Scary stuff! I hope you have a brilliant Christmas too! I’ve been running around a bit too much and haven’t had a chance to reply to this sooner Izzie, sorry! Hope you have a great start to the New Year too xx
Turkish grill sounds lovely! And who knew trees were so dangerous!? Xx
I’m trying to go a step further and convince The King and Princess to go to a Turkish restaurant on Christmas Day but I’m losing this battle!
I didn’t know any of these facts but it’s nice to know I can put my decision not to have a tree down to health and safety and not laziness.
No tree?! Really?
Says the woman who only put hers up two days ago lol
