It’s been a great but hectic past seven days, a lot of different kinds of events, many of which I really should have taken pictures of but either didn’t or couldn’t! For instance, I met up with some of the fabulous ladies who run Mothers and Shakers, at an event held by the National Portrait Gallery. I have no pictures, because the ‘do not take pictures’ signs dotted all around the gallery were rather official and scary, but I promise you, I was there, it was ace and I’ll be taking my daughter along for some of the specially organised children’s sessions throughout the summer holidays. But alas, no pictures to add to my week in pictures from that particular day! I also went to an ace club in Crouch End for my friend’s 40th. I met some of her ace friends and danced the night away to 80’s music. I probably looked a hot mess, sweating away my make up so I’m thankful I forgot to take pictures that night!

One day I do have pictures from is Saturday! I met up with Ninja Killer Cat, Claire, for a special VIP Pixie Lott concert in a intimate setting on Shaftsbury Avenue. There were loads of vodka cocktails, some great styling sessions courtesy of Batiste Dry Shampoo and some great warm up acts, including a 13 year old girl (sorry I forgot her name) who had a voice of someone twice her age and a really great stage presence. I’m sure Pixie was amazing too, but we had to leave just before 9, having already been there for three hours and she hadn’t got on stage yet! It was great to catch up with such a lovely blogger, outside of a blogging setting and just get to know her better, hopefully I didn’t talk her to death and we’ll meet up again soon!
I also took quite a few photos on Sunday. Princess and I travelled into London at what seemed like the crack of dawn, to go to the opening gala screening of Planes 2: Fire and Rescue. It was an awesome event, with a fire engine at the entrance of the cinema, complete with real life firemen! They were super friendly and really left a positive impression on Princess. It was so hot I didn’t make a fuss when Princess decided to run into the water fountains after the film screening, in fact, I probably should have joined her running through!
We walked to Covent Garden for some shopping in a pop up event and then onto Wagamama for some lunch before heading home via the Disney Store. The rest of the evening was quiet, except for an impromptu rain dance when it started to hail. It was sooooo cooling and liberating to just stand there in the garden getting soaked to the bone and cool after the heat of the last few days! Again no pictures, though we did take some, but we all look like wet dogs…
So that’s been my week! This one is set to be busier and I’ll try to take as many pictures as I can. I hope you all have a fab week and snap away as you do!

Hello. Hello! what a week ;0) Starting the summer with a bang. Nice one.
