I don’t know about you but I have hundreds, if not thousands of photos stored on hard drives and in the clou but only a handful that I’ve managed to print out over the years. I’ve tried to get into the habit of printing photobooks to store special moments such as holidays as a way of having them to hand to share with family and friends but I know there are still so many moments stuck in a digital limbo, just waiting for the chance to be set free for all eyes to see.

The lovely people behind CEWE gave me the opportunity to test out their new photobook software and print out a photobook recently and I was really impressed by the quality of the book when it arrived earlier this week. Admittedly, the website left me a little dubious when I first looked at it, having previously printed my photobooks using the in app software of my MacBook, the website looked plainer and less user friendly from first impressions. Thankfully, the software proved me wrong and it was actually quite fun and intuitive to put the photobook together.

You have so many options in CEWE with regards to the design and layout of your photobook. I chose not to use any text inside and try various image placements throughout, giving some images full page spreads and others three or four to one page. I think it made the finished product easier to flow through and more exciting for the mini me, who has looked through it at least twice a day since it arrived!

I went for a soft cover photobook which currently costs £19.99 if using standard paper and £4 more with glossy. I didn’t realise at the time but there were options to have your books printed on true matt, glossy photographic and premium photographic paper too. Well, I’ll save that for my portfolio! This particular book is filled with pictures of friends and family who we’re particularly close to, as well as some memorable photos from last summer. I ‘ll definitely be creating some more using the CEWE website because I liked how versatile the design software was as well as the quality of the finished product.
Thank you to CEWE for helping me share some of my photo memories and save them from the deep confines of my external hard drives and SD cards!

I really must make some more photo books, I’m much the same as you in that I have all these digital photos & never get them printed so I can’t easily share them or look back on them
It’s so easily done isn’t it?! Hope you get to make some of your photos into books. I also like the idea of blowing them up and framing them throughout the house, rather than buying artwork
