The cool 3D animation and songs kept Princess entertained, the jokes and Hip Hop references put a smile on The King’s face . . .me, well I was just happy to listen to Hip Hop Rapper and Actor Common (Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr.) (C’mon he is just beautiful, you can’t blame me!)
Pink, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Elijah Wood, Robin Williams and Sofia Vergara also play roles in this all star animation. I thoroughly enjoyed the first Happy Feet and was mumbling with The King that there was no need for a second one and it was bound to be a let down as I just couldn’t see where they were going to go with it. How wrong was I! I think I actually enjoyed Happy Feet 2 more than the first one!
The film deals with the eco system and, evolution and global warming in very subtle ways but would be a great opener for many conversations with children of an inquisitive age and could be a great start for a project!
Princess asked some questions about the Krill which will need greater explanation than the cinema allowed and I’m quite excited about the activities I’m going to do with her off the back of this film.
Happy Feet 2 is in cinemas from Friday 2 December, just in time for the Christmas holidays. I would definitely recommend it for all ages as we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Defo worth watching in 3D as some of the effects were fab.
