We’d seen a couple of brochures during our trip advertising the park but what made the decision for me is hearing a radio advert advising us of the special €5 rate on Tuesday and Thursday. We visited the Butterfly Park on a promotional day and had a wonderful time learning about the different varieties of butterflies and moths.
There were bi-lingual staff giving extremely informative and easy to understand talks in both Spanish and English. We even had a chance to watch some butterflies emerging from their chrysalis’ which was absolutely amazing though a little graphic, I never knew about the gunky meconium that they eject, but all in all it was brilliant to witness!
Information posts around the facility gave you vital stats on the different breeds and feeding posts gave us a chance to get up close and personal with the butterflies. Many people were using the opportunity to practice their amateur photography skills and I was aching for my DSLR to have a go myself! (um yes I know I don’t own a DSLR but a girl can dream!)
