>Princess and the huge Wee-Gate declaration

On Wednesday, I was getting Princess ready for bed when totally out of the blue, she sprung it on me, just like that.

It was so unexpected I was a little taken aback and it took me a while to string together a proper sentence in response.

Princess told me, whilst looking me dead in the eyes that she was going to wear knickers to bed from now on.

Guess what –  she did it! She went to bed in knickers and stayed dry all night. It was a nervous night for me. I was unprepared. I didn’t have anything underneath her other than a towel I’d hastily placed under her.

She stayed dry all night and the next night and the night after that!

Princess is so proud of herself ( so am I) and in recognition of her new ‘big girl’ status we went on a pyjama shopping spree and also bought a fish tank. There are no fish yet, but there is water and a Little Mermaid statue which she’s named Princess Olivia. I’ve tried to explain to her that her name is actually Ariel but I’ve given up.

She is dry all night, I’m happy. That’s all that matters!

    >I hope she goes through the rest of the milestones which just as much decisiveness!

    >Great news. Your daughter is strong and knows her own mind and that is such a great attribute. Hard for mum sometimes but great as she knew she wantes to do it. I'm dreading the day my lil boy gets trained. Apparently boys are a lot slower to catch on lol! Congrats again to your princess x

    >Oh fab news!!! That happened with my munchkin too… She was dry during the day but i put nappies on her at night. Then one night she insisted she didnt want to wear a nappy…I, like you, wasn't prepared and she got upset about it so I just let her sleep without it…..and never had an accident!

    Love the fish tank!
