Tuesday’s normally consist of home-childminder-work-childminder-home. Yesterday I broke the mould and hit the town (well trendy Shoreditch) after work with my cousin and a good friend.
First stop was The Drunken Monkey for some delicious dim sum and gorgeous cocktails. We ate and drank to our hearts delights. The food was delicious and the alcohol in the cocktails were poured with a heavy hand, which we very much appreciated.
After ‘warming ourselves up’ with the food and drink, we went five minutes round the corner to The Queen of Hoxton, climbed through the ‘fire doors’ onto the roof (ahem, I could see this causing some confusion were a real fire to break out??)

Mean Girls, Queen of Hoxton Roof Top Cinema

The rooftop was great, we had a bbq, bar, popcorn and lovely dainty fairy lights. Everyone was given a pair of cordless headphones and a warm cuddly blanket to snuggle up on whilst watching the film. The sound quality in the headphones was great and the film, Mean Girls was perfect for a chilled out session with the girls. One only negative was you kept getting an awful waft of garbage / sewage every now and then but guess that’s London for you and we can’t hold the venue responsible for it!

Definitely going to again next year, though this time I’ll be sure to book early as tickets kept selling out before I had a chance to buy them!!
